When building self assembly flatpacked furniture it is always a good idea to read the instructions first.
If the item comes in more than one box, check the box to see if it tells you which box contains the instructions as that way you won't need to unpack everything before you find them. If there is nothing to indicate which box contains the instructions, open the box number 1 first as this is normally where the instructions are.
Once you have the instructions, sit down with a cup of tea to study them carefully. A biscuit sometimes aids concentration too.
Once you have read the instructions all the way through you can start to build the furniture.
The next step is to ensure you have all the correct parts before you start building! Otherwise you may have a half constructed unit and find you cannot complete it due to a missing/broken part
